Slogging

Ahhhh....Finally got a chance to take a good nap and rest after a terrible week. Having been new to the project and technology. I was the only target or should i say the scapegoat for upcoming software release. I had been home only to sleep for the whole week. The people in the current project do slog like anything and work for more than 12 hours a day. And the real bad thing is that they expect other people also to do the same. When you have your client in the United States you obviously have to work late to interact with them. But i think that should be only in Production support and not in a development project. The only thing they worry about is work and not about their health and personal life. I strongly belive that putting your entire effort for 9 hours a day should be sufficient enough.

Well three years ago, i was away from my family working in Bangalore and used to slog since i was in support and was more interested to learn. Slogging can cause you lot of stress, mental pressure, back pain, sore eyes and other problems to your health. And if you are a family man, things would be more difficult with the couple spending less time together which could lead to misunderstanding and in some cases to divorce. More worse if they have a kid, who needs more attention from his parents. There are some parents who are not even aware in which standard their kids are studying. I hope people understand that personal life is more important than work. One thing, if you are not there to do the work for the company, the company will replace you with another person but no one else can replace you in your family. And last thing, the youth life is to enjoy...Dont miss it out...

Jesse has driven me crazy.

Having been a great fan of Gautam Menon's movies and having watched all of them more than once, i really was eagerly waiting to watch VTV and it lived up to all my expectations. Trisha as Jesse looks ravishing, stunning, cheerful, beautiful and great to watch. As the line in the movie says "She is Sexy too". God she looks sexy in the way she wears a saree. The Costume Desinger Nalini deserves a big round of applause. I was really impressed by the camera work of Manoj. Eventhough I liked each and every frame of the movie, naming here a few scenes which i liked the most.

Trisha's entry scene in a saree and the scenes where she comes in saree :)
The coffee day scene where Simbhu says "I am sitting in front of you but for me i am sitting with u on your side".
Trisha wears a crown made of fall color leaves.
Omana Penne Song in the beautiful Malta Islands
Hosanna Song where the they both dance in black & white mode with a shadow on the floor.
The scene before Manippaya Song
Simbhu and Trisha run slowly facing the beach, towards the end of Manippaya song.
Kanukkul Kannai Song on the whole bcoz of Simbhu's dance, Naresh Iyer's vocals and the costumes.

Having watched the movie twice, when i listen to the songs in my iPod or watch it Sun Music, i feel like watching the movie again. Jesse has really driven me crazy.

My friend who has watched the movie twice with me said he would like to see the movie till he gets over it. But i feel that movie should remain in your mind and heart. VTV is a one way ticket to your heart.

Looks like i have become a fan of Jesse and not Trisha. This movie has taken a top position in my all time favourite list and this would be definitely part of my collection.

Its a weekend.....

People working in software industry know how they feel coming into office on Monday, thinking how the week will go by and the weekend would come. I am no different since i am also an part of the largest IT firm in India.

I had spent most of my 20 odd years in Chennai, but ask me any place around Chennai other than my house and college, in OMR road, you could catch me saying yeah i know (which obviously i don't know) :). After getting my first job, i had to move to Bangalore, the place i liked most than ever hot Chennai. I can talk a lot of my experiences there, but lets stick to the topic here. I got to work there in the heart of the city and that too in Leela palace and in a good team in the company with a couple of friends new to the city and me.

Since most of the IT companies had clients in US, one had to work late at night and i had oblige to that since i was a fresh blood and had a chance to learn lots. Having worked hard all through the week, we used to wait for the much expected Friday and then the weekend. As usual we wont be in a mood to work and pushing all the tasks to next week, we would take of early from office and get to MG road or CMH road and having had the feast for our eyes we would find a nice hotel to have the feast for our tummy and spend time there till midnight and we get to go home only to take the much needed rest which we needed after week full of work. Wake up late the next day at 12 PM and have our brunch in a andhra restaurant mostly till the food level comes to throat and then take rest there for at least 15 Mins, since we would not be able to walk. Then we get to go back home, watch some movie in TV and then get to sleep. Once again wake up at 6 in the evening and then have a light dinner. The same routine would continue for the next day and would go back to bed thinking why doesn't god make it a Friday night again. Darn i miss those weekends now having come back to Chennai.
